Blair may be the more interesting character, but Serena is the definitely the resident beauty on Gossip Girl. It's hard to deny that Blake Lively is absolutely radiant as Serena. Have you been wondering how to snag Serena's airbrushed-with-pure-sunshine look? In the most recent issue of StyleWatch magazine, Gossip Girl makeup artist Amy Tagliamonti spills on how she creates Blake Lively's Gossip Girl makeup look.
Want to steal Blake Lively's Serena makeup look for yourself? Amy names three key cosmetics she uses on Blake:
- Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation - This oil-free gel foundation is known for its light texture and ability to actually control oil production. It also contains aloe, chamomile and arnica to calm irritation, and rosemary, green tea and rice bran to help prevent oxidation.
- Stila Eye Shadow - Oasis, a shimmery gold highlight, was just one of Stila's huge assortment of award-winning eye shadows that was called out as an on-set favorite. It has since been discontinued, but cult-favorite shade Kitten is a near dupe.
- Chanel Rouge Coco Moisturizing Glossimer Lip Gloss - This water-resistant, long-lasting lip gloss comes in a huge range of colors. Glow is the now-discontinued peachy-bronze favored by the Gossip Girl makeup artist, but Melted Honey seems to be the shade that took its place. Glossimer also contains vitamins C and E protect against free radicals.
