Last week I was stoked to be able to attend the T.J. Maxx Red Carpet Off-Price event in Glendale, California. Not only was I able to learn more about upcoming fall fashion trends, I also found fabulous deals on designer fashions. There were so many amazing items right off the runway for up to 60 % off department store prices-- how could that be a bad time?

I had so much fun browsing through the hot “Runway” section at T.J. Maxx. All the clothing and accessories were straight from the runways of Paris and Milan. The most exciting part is that my happy feeling will remain knowing that T.J. Maxx buyers are treasure hunting to insure that all 1600 stores receive thousands of new items weekly. I felt very warm and fuzzy inside, despite it being an early morning event. It was like drinking four cups of coffee-- my eyes lit up.

Attendees of the event were also able to get some major insight from Alison Deyette, a style expert and television correspondent. She went over the best ways to shop for favorite designers and brand name fashions without emptying your wallet. There were endless examples of in season items at T.J. Maxx that were must-haves, for affordable prices! Some of the deals seemed too good to be true, but trust me, it was real! I documented some things for you too see, and believe.

Besides seeing and believing, I found out what the top trends for fall are from fashion expert Alison Deyette-- up close and in person. The credible source told us the importance of pairing the edgy fall bomber jacket with softer ruffle tops to even out the look and add a feminine touch. The larger shoulder bags are also popular-- making it easy for you to carry all of your everyday needs in one bag. Although plaid is making a huge comeback, Alison warned us to avoid making it look as though you borrowed your boyfriend’s shirt by adding a belt to girly it up. “Add a belt whenever possible,” Deyette said, and she recommended replacing the belt the piece of clothing comes with a different one to personalize it-- I couldn’t agree more!

The key this season is to wear what you have in your closet, and layer it with some key fall items. Get a scarf, and don’t be afraid to rock a leather jacket with one of your spring dresses. T.J. Maxx makes it possible to stay on top of fashion, and utilize everything in your existing closet, without draining your bank account.
