Where I went to college we had a very particular evening dress code. Strange college memories aside, I really do think tanks are great for evening. They show just the right amount of skin and come in so many varieties that you never feel like you are stuck in a rut, even if you turn to a tank every time you head out the door. This draped Celia tank from BCBGirls is a fabulous evening tank that would be a worthy addition to my collection. It is made from a figure-skimming, lightweight jersey knit and has great details, like a blouson fit and twisted straps that gather in the back. True Religion jeans for a chic yet laid-back look, but it would look just as good with a pencil skirt for a dressier vibe. The key is to balance the blousey, loose tank with a more fitted shape on the bottom.
