Platform wedges are quickly becoming my favorite type of shoe. These ingenious little creations add a ton of height, with absolutely minimal discomfort. The magic is the fact that the platform keeps the toes at roughly the same elevation as the heel, so you feel like you are wearing flats even though you are packing an extra three inches of height. Love that.
