The big three of the designer-meets-masses trend-- Target, Top Shop, and H&M-- have received tons of press, and for good reason. The most under-rated purveyor of designer capsule collections is the affordable French retailer La Redoute and what they lack in media exposure they more than make up for in amazing collaborations. Where other retailers specialize in reformulating trendy boutique labels into full downmarket lines, La Redoute has concentrated on much smaller collections featuring original designs from the best of French Pret-a-Porter and Haute Couture.

We featured the chic 6-piece Courreges for La Redoute collection last month and now we're pleased to give the stunning 2-piece Christian Lacroix for La Redoute collection some well-deserved attention. This collaboration is nothing short of phenomenal. These two pieces feature signature Christian Lacroix details at a price that non-royalty can afford. I may never be able to purchase a $20,000.00 Christian Lacroix Haute Couture gown, but I can have a little piece of Lacroix magic to call my own thanks to La Redoute.

The Sevillane Dress (top left) features lush Guipure Lace over silk Taffeta with velvet accents-- how very Lacroix. It is available in Sand Black (shown) and Black. The Falbala Trench has the ruffles and bustles look that Lacroix couture is known for, but at a price that is more than a steal. It is available in Poppy (shown) and Black, each with a black cotton lining. Fabulous.
