When it comes to understanding trends, sometimes you need to head to the epicenter of the phenomenon to truly get what’s going on. Tory Burch “Reva” flats have been a trendy item for several seasons, that’s for sure. But a quick trip to New York City last week revealed the true extent of Tory Burch flats mania. These iconic, medallion festooned flats were everywhere. Literally. NYC fashionistas have taken to Tory Burch flats like nothing I’ve ever seen. A beeline jaunt through the middle of Bryant Park at lunchtime revealed no fewer than thirty women sporting Tory Burch flats in all colors of the rainbow. What gives?

I actually started quizzing random women about the Tory Burch mania. Turns out that the city-wide love for these particular flats stems from something beyond the desire to sport the most easily recognizable designer flats on the planet. By all accounts, the “Reva” flat is also incredibly comfortable. And, after a week of hoofing it up and down 6th between Chelsea and Midtown (yes, I really did walk that far more than once), I can attest to the need to have very comfortable shoes in the city. Needless to say, Tory Burch “Reva” Flats are at the tippy-top of my current must have list. Hundreds of women can’t be wrong. Now, if I could just settle on a color I’d be set!
