I may be playing right into the marketers' hands with this one, but I feel like Macy's is becoming increasingly chic and relevant. It's been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Macy's. Once the pinnacle of fashion and commerce, Macy's fell out of favor with true fashion mavens for a good many years. But, Macy's is back. Stocked with the hottest contemporary labels and boasting seasonal finds that are both stylish and affordable, Macy's now catching up to the likes of Nordstrom and Bloomingdales in the eyes of the fashionista. I love a comeback.
Although the Macys.com e-tail site still feels a bit behind the Macy's bricks-and-mortar stores in terms of style appeal, every time I check out the site I find something new and fabulous. Labels now conveniently available online include handbags from Coach, Cole Haan and Dooney & Bourke; shoes from Corso Como, Frye and Boutique 9; and fashions from 7 For All Mankind, French Connection, BCBG, Ben Sherman and Kensie. You could practically find your entire fall wardrobe right at Macy's.

One of my favorite finds from the Macy's Fall Fashion Week special section is the Hobson Blazer from Ben Sherman. The shrunken fit, single button lapel and satin trim at the collar and pockets make this jacket stylish and fun, without being too over the top for work. Paired with the crisp INC Long-Sleeved Ruffled Tuxedo Shirt and trouser jeans or the new Kensie Shadow Plaid Wide-Leg Pants, you've got a fall look that will be perfect for a more casual office.
