There is always calmness after the holidays. The anxiety is slowly leaving the body, and although we are still in an economic crisis it’s hard to refrain from self indulging when things are on sale. From winter clothing to all kinds of basic attire, there are a lot of things popping up on sale, and it is time to take advantage. I like to buy winter attire when it goes on sale because I can wear it for the next 2-3 months, and then I can wear it next fall and winter. I like getting the essentials that can be worn year after year without hesitation. With that philosophy in mind, I have found some great coats and jackets on sale that will make you swoon.
My first pick is a fun, eccentric Belted Wool Coat from Arden B. The textured wool coat has a leatherette self tie belt with button tab belt loop detail. I love the reddish color of this jacket because it will make you glisten. This jacket is perfect to keep warm and look good.

My next jacket find is the Lace Inset Herringbone Jacket from Bebe. This is not a basic essential piece, but it is very sexy! This black and white jacket with subtle shimmer is a great piece to throw on with some black slacks. I love how this jacket is casual, but sassy at the same time. It’s not the warmest jacket, so it’s suitable to wear to a party or out to dinner-- not really street attire during the cold months.

The Steve Madden Drop Waist Twill Coat comes in an awesome color that goes unnoticed too often. Mustard may not be everyone’s number one choice, but this jacket is funky and cool. With a low-slung belt and double breasted buttons, this twill coat will turn some heads in major approval. For a hundred dollars this jacket is well worth it-- if not for its awesome tough fun style, let it be for the mustard color! For those of you who can’t stand mustard, it also comes in purple!

My last fab find is absolutely stunning! I think this is the most flattering cut on women. This Lauren by Ralph Lauren Stretch Wool Sheath Dress resembles a tight fitting, sophisticated jacket, and it’s got more attitude and confidence than Paris Hilton. This stretch wool sheath double-breasted dress is unbelievable classy. It has a tugged waistline and it leaves a lot to the imagination. At 40 % off I wouldn’t hesitate.
