Spring Fashion: Stylish Striped Dresses

Stripes aren’t just on the American flag, but all over the fashion scene as well. With all different colors and dress styles, stripes are always sure to make you look taller and thinner if vertical, or give a curvier when wearing horizontal. With great summer styles that incorporate the striped pattern, there isn’t a striped dress that I don’t like.

Keep your body type in mind when purchasing striped dresses-- if you are short and have a thicker build you may want to stay away from light colored horizontal striped dresses. But, on the other hand, if you need the extra illusion of weight to give you a more curvaceous body, horizontal stripes may be your answer. I have found a striped dress to flatter every body type. Embrace the stripes; it’s simplicity at its best!

My last pick is a dress by Nine West. I love this Cap-Sleeve Striped Dress, its so flirty feminine. I think this would look lovely on all body types. It’s so girly and sexy at the same time.
