Today my mom came over and looked absolutely stunning! I aspire to have her fashion sense and looks when I get older. She came in with a hot color combination that floored me! My mom-- who I call Lil’ Ells because her name is Elli and she’s shorter and smaller than me-- came in wearing a red pencil skirt and matching blazer with lime green accents. Let me be specific, she was wearing a silk lime green shirt with a multi-layered green beaded necklace, earrings, handbag and shoes. The outfit looked marvelous-- I would have never thought to wear red and lime green together.

Chico’s has a perfect 100 % silk lime green shirt that’s loose fitted with classic collars. I love this particular shirt because it’s a long sleeved, slimming tailored button down-- just priceless. There are endless combinations that can be made with this Sleek Shantung Weldon Shirt. This shirt is a key piece to start copying Lil' Ells' look.
Jessica Simpson Melton Coat

One of the neatest things about my mom's admired look is that she had the red belt and the layered beaded necklace. I thought it completed the look perfectly. It was the icing on the cake. Chico’s has just the cutest five strand Louiselle statement necklace. The five strands consist of turquoise, abalone shell, and sparkling green glass. It's not a necklace you'll wear just once because of its ability to brighten any look.
Who would have thought that green, the color of envy and growth, goes so well with red, the color of passion and desire? Once I saw Lil’ Ells it all made sense. After all, without desire, there would be no growth.
