--By Kim MoshtaghiIt can be such a chore to keep your feet warm during the winter months. Not only does it feel good to keep the toes warm, but it is vital to prevent catching a cold. It was kind of boring for me to get into the whole sock buying thing since I live in San Diego, but it’s been extremely cold and wet lately, forcing me to stock up on socks. It’s interesting that there are so many different kinds of socks-- it's almost overwhelming. Before my sock binge I had no idea that cotton socks are bad in the wet weather; I guess I never thought about it. Cotton socks absorb and hold the moisture causing frost bite in the severe cold. I got a few different kinds of socks to be prepared in case of rain, snow or just the plain cold.
My first pair of socks is simply convenient to wear around the house because of their non-skid dots on the soles-- love it! I have a pair that I wore to death already. I wear them with or without slippers when walking around the house, I even left a pair at my dad’s house to prevent from getting chilly walking on his marble floors.
