Pretty soon it’s going to be hard to resist slipping on a pair of sexy, toe-revealing shoes. Strappy and sassy only goes so far when you haven’t taken care of your feet! In order to look and feel your best it is crucial to pamper your feet. After being in boots for several months it’s hard to get your feet back in shape for their big debut. With love, and great products, you can get rid of cracks and rough skin around the heels, and get your feet gorgeous without spending tons of money.

Set aside 10 minutes a day to spend on your feet and they will be glad you did. Not only will you see a big difference in the looks department, but you will also feel less stressed. It is hard to see results after a few attempts, or at least not permanently soft feet. Without consistency there won’t be any cute toes or heels to glare at when prancing around in hot stilettos. So, be loyal to your pampering routine and you’ll be able to refrain from looking like you were in a barefoot war. Bend over ladies and scrub before lathering in order to keep your walking mechanisms admirable.

And, speaking of lathering, I’m practicing what I preach as I’m typing. My feet are absorbing Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Creme bundled up in their bright yellow signature socks-- I love this stuff! The Coconut Foot Creme is miraculous. You will actually see a difference in a couple days, but continue this routine a few times a week to get greater results that keep your feet soft all the time. Before bed time I lather up my clean feet with Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Creme and cover them up with socks (any socks). This particular Burt’s set that I recommend comes with pumice (which works wonderfully), the Coconut Foot Creme, and a pair of yellow socks. It’s a good idea to keep a couple pumice stones around: one to use in the shower along with a foot scrub, and the other on clean, dry feet to soften up rough patches.

In the shower I like using something that will not only clean and soften my feet, but also give a clean cooling effect. I enjoy using Earth Therapeutics Cooling Foot Scrub. It’s an exfoliant foot scrub that leaves the feet feeling softer by getting rid of the dead skin cells. The mint oil and menthol ingredients give the feet a cool-fresh feel while simultaneously moisturizing them-- it alleviates anxiety instantly.

If a cooling foot scrub can’t get the job done well enough, then try Bath and Body Works effervescent Aromatherapy Foot Soak. This tranquil peppermint oil fights mental fatigue by starting at the feet and working its way up. The rosemary essential oil is supposed to improve thinking and foster creativity-- maybe I should have been soaking my feet instead of lathering them up in coconut creme? Either way, using all or one of my recommended methods will be a step in the right direction to happier and prettier feet.
