New & Hot: Botkier Haven Satchel

Once upon a time I was a huge Botkier devotee. The original Trigger, and it's successor, the Trigger Clyde, are still two of my favorite bags. But, Botkier bags got a little too busy for me right about the time I discovered the wonder that is Rebecca Minkoff, and I strayed. This new Botkier Haven Satchel feels old school Botkier... and that's a good thing.

The new Botkier Haven Satchel is crafted from pearl grey lambskin, with satin nickel hardware. The details are subtle -- some stitching, a well-placed tassel. There isn't a field of studs or layer of faux animal print in sight. This is the kind of refined bag you can sport with your suit during the day, and then take out to cocktails in the evening. It's nice to see Botkier returning to their luxe roots. Bravo.
