The Messeca Coraline platform wedge first caught my eye in the online store for super amazing NYC boutique Oak. There it was, hanging out amongst the $500+ shoes regularly found at Oak. I was intrigued. The Oak buyers' stamp of approval goes quite a long way with me. Flash forward to today, when I spotted this shoe in the best sellers section at Piperlime, the online contemporary fashion haven owned by Gap, Inc. It's like fashion karma that this shoe and I should cross paths again.
So, what makes the Messeca Coraline wedge so amazing? It has all of the angles and artistic detail of the aforementioned expensive shoes, but at a great price. It's crafted from 100% leather upper, with a synthetic outsole, and features a trendy wood heel detail. It's available in Black (shown here) and Sand, a light beige color.
