Chanel's Peridot follows in the ongoing trend of green nail colors. But, this green gets a little extra kick from a subtle golden sheen. Celebrated nail salon owner Soon Choi, quoted in the August issue of In Style magazine, describes Peridot as "...a mix of industrial metal and snakeskin." Kind of fabulous, right?
Bottom line, Chanel Peridot is bright enough to be a favorite Summer shade, but has enough heft to see you through Fall. It's not quite a neutral, but it won't clash with most modern clothing. And, it's magically still available for purchase at retail price at Saks Fifth Avenue. Given that Chanel's It colors have a habit of selling out and then reappearing on eBay at 10 times the retail price (yes, people have paid upwards of $300 for a sold out shade), I'd snap up a bottle why you still can.
