When I was a little kid, I would cringe every time my mom made me wear leggings. Even the thought of wearing leggings scared me. But now, when winter comes along, I enjoy wearing leggings with an oversized sweater or underneath a hot mini skirt. Wearing leggings allows me to enhance boring sweaters and revive rarely used belts. Leggings go wonderfully with sky-high open-toed stilettos, which I still want to wear during the winter months, and they go wonderfully with boots of every style.
Whether you decide to wear leggings with heels or boots, the look is magnificent and it is all over the runways. Feeling slim and snug behind fluffy and furry clothes is always fun during the cold months, but please remember this rule: the funkier the legging, the simpler the top... unless you're like Lady Gaga, and you've both decided to ignore the fashion rule book.
Just like Gaga ignores the rules, Betsey Johnson also ignored the rules when she designed this pair of textured leopard leggings. However, this simple black and white leopard will match many different clothing colors, and the color scheme will allow you to wear the leggings more often than the typical multi-colored leopard pattern. Imagine this with an oversized off the shoulder wool sweater, a thick charcoal belt, and some sky high heels. Maybe some rules are meant to be broken...

Not every wild gal can or wants to wear leopard, unless they've decided to attend the occasional costume party. So, for the non-leopard wearing gals, I recommend the sensational Wolford "Starlette" leggings. This solid black legging has ornamental holes all over it, which make it a definite showstopper. I recommend wearing this with a cute mini-skirt and a cowl neck top. It's always nice to balance sexy with conservative, because the combination always leaves a fashion impression.

Finally, not everyone likes the sheer looking legging, so I decided to showcase leggings that resemble pants. This zipper legging allows you to treat it as if it were pants and not worry about seams. This legging looks lovely when worn with tall boots and/or booties along with a sparkly top. Wear it with big hoop earrings and layered bangle bracelets to glorify the entire look.
