I recently had the opportunity to try out my own version of the Laura Mercier flawless face, from Flawless Face Finder to actual products. After answering simple questions about my skin type, coverage preferences, skin tone and problem areas in need of concealing, I got my Flawless Face prescription: Hydrating Foundation Primer, Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20, Secret Concealer and Translucent Loose Setting Powder.
I've been using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer off and on for years, but this is the first time I've had the chance to try out the whole system at once. I wish I would have tried sooner! As good as the Tinted Moisturizer alone is at creating a slightly more perfected, yet still natural and translucent face, the four products together are even better. They work together to truly create a better looking base. The Primer is smoothing and creamy, and keeps the rest of the look in place all day. The Secret Concealer covers well and doesn't settle into creases (which might also be a product of the Primer's help). But, my big revelation was the Loose Setting Powder. I haven't used powder in ages because I don't like the way it settles into lines and creates a chalky look -- but not so with this Laura Mercier powder. It kind of melted into my face to create a finished look. Love it.
Altogether, I can't say enough good about the Laura Mercier Flawless Face system. If, like me, you're already a fan of a single Laura Mercier product, it's definitely worth it to try the whole system -- it really is greater than the sum of its parts.
