Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace (via glamour.com) |
I was pleasantly surprised to see most of the leading ladies wearing shiny, solid, and bright attire. They chose to wear either ultra conservative dresses, dresses with daring colors, or mile high slits like Angelina Jolie’s black Versace dress. Although some of the stars chose to wear dresses with extra material that would have fit two or more people at the same time, I’ve decided to focus on the positive and highlight some sexy clothing with slits. Thanks to Angelina, I will bring feature the sensual.
She definitely chose to wear a sassy number, but I’ve decided to feature laid back versions of the princess dress she wore to the Oscars. I want to promote some casual and easy going versions of the slit -- they don’t have to always be paired with a fancy gown.
First, check out this long black dress. The slit is on the front of this dress, and it seems like a comfortable, realistic dress for the warmer weekends ahead. Although this dress is nothing fancy, you can wear it after breakfast, at a resort, or when you’re just hanging out and you want to feel comfortable and pretty all at the same time.

This casual long skirt from Bebe is perfect to dress down or up. Either pair this long dress with a sky-high slit and stilettos or pair it with crystalized sandals to make an island like impression. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you top it off appropriately with a bright bold color or a flowy shirt that balances out the sexier lower half.

Check out this disarming high slit dress. This solid white dress has a large back cut out and has a slit riding up a bit on the back. Everywhere you look, you’ll get a sneak peak, and we both know it’s important to keep it that way! I love everything about this pure, fashionable dress, especially its ability to juxtapose innocence with naughtiness.
