The new Marc by Marc Jacobs 100mm Platform Pump 626918 (yes, I'm as annoyed as you that the Marc label insists on numbering, rather than naming, their shoes) are amazingly fabulous. First, I'm a sucker for a reptile print and the snake embossed leather on these platform pumps is a unique take thanks to the technicolor combination of green, grey and brown. The dark green suede heel switches up the texture and adds a second dimension of luxury. I even find the logo plaque at the front kind of charming, and I'm usually 100% against obvious logos. It's just a darn cool fall shoe.
Wear this shoe with your pantsuits for a touch of fashionista that isn't too crazy for a corporate workplace. It will pair well with charcoal, chocolate brown and dove grey suits. Wear these platform pumps with a pencil skirt or shift dress the shoes take center stage. And, note, the heel height of 4.5" is tempered by a .75" platform, for a net of just 3.75" -- that's practically running height for heel lovers, and a great find in such a fashion-forward shoe. Love.
