We’re used seeing pictures of Anne Hathaway in a parade of red carpet looks everywhere. But, with awards season is suddenly over, we get a glimpse at what the Oscar winner looks like on her day off.
The Les Misérables star was snapped just last week in West Hollywood on a Whole Foods run wearing a very down-to-earth combination of a pale grey open weave sweater, skinny jeans, and flat sandals. Stars, they shop pricey organics just like us! Want to steal Anne Hathaway’s grocery shopping style for yourself? She’s wearing the Paper Denim & Cloth Lexington Sweater.
This cocoon-shaped sweater is crafted from combed cotton and features drop sleeves, an uneven hemline, and split cuffs. The open weave style, which is described on the website as a “cat eye” weave, makes this sweater perfect for the transitional spring-summer weather.
Wear this sweater now layered over a long-sleeve tee shirt or over a tank top on warmer days. Take this sweater on your summer vacation – it will do double duty to provide a little extra warmth at night, or as a swimsuit cover-up paired with gauzy palazzo pants. And when fall rolls around, you can add more substantial layers underneath. I suggest a Uniqlo Heattech long sleeve tee to make it cool weather appropriate.
The Lexington Sweater is available in pale grey/ bone white color, as seen on Anne, or in a very pale blue. Personally, I find the pale grey the most versatile, but the blue is a very pretty spring shade.
