With wedding season just around the corner, invitations to spring bridal showers are going out now. Figuring out what to wear to a bridal shower can be tricky, especially if the shower has a theme or you don’t know the host very well. Sometimes deciding what to wear to a bridal shower is as tricky as what to wear to the wedding itself! If you’ve been invited to one, two, or ten spring bridal showers here are some tips for what to wear to that are sure to fit every situation.
Keep it Classy
Bridal showers are supposed to be a fun way to celebrate that the bride is getting married. No matter how laid-back the bride is, it is not appropriate to wear jeans to a bridal shower -- not even your dark wash dressy jeans.
It’s best to imagine a bridal shower like you are going to a country club, if the country club wouldn’t let you in the bridal shower shouldn’t either. Stick with cocktail or tea-length dresses and skirts that float away from the body and ballet flats or kitten heels; your five inch heels and body-hugging dresses are better left to the clubs.

Avoid White
You would never wear a white dress to a wedding, so avoid wearing a white dress to the bridal shower as well. While wearing a white dress to the bridal shower isn’t as much of a faux pas as it is to the wedding, you should still avoid wearing a white dress to the bridal shower just in case the bride does.
For spring stick with bright colors and pastels and avoid black dresses as well; its spring and you don’t want to look like you are going to a funeral.

Don’t Look Like a Disco Ball
There is nothing wrong with a little sequins and glitter, but keep your rhinestone beaded dress in the closet for this type of event. It’s fine to wear a dress with a little bit of sequins but avoid dresses that are heavily decked out with all-over beading or sequined designs otherwise you run the risk of looking like a disco ball in pictures.
