I get that the purpose of real fitness clothing is to be comfortable and flexible, while keeping the sweat away from your skin. But, I just can’t get into a fitness regime if I feel dumpy, or masculine, or like I specialize in competitive suburban child-rearing (sorry, but you know that look). I’m a big fan of the long-distance urban power walk as my exercise of choice. Give me five to seven miles of urban concrete and I’m set. Got hills or the occasional park landscape? All the better. I’ve found that most high-tech workout tops are kind of boxy and utilitarian looking, particularly once you pair them with your standard sports bra. This Tunic Tee curves in at the waist and has a slightly asymmetrical hem that creates a sleek look that’s actually flattering.

These Tech Capris have a fitted, non-shiny fit that is quite flattering and very comfortable for walking/ running. The reflective inset at the bottom (a must for evening walks!) is color coordinated with a range of the HKNB tops, and is has a back zip pocket for your key that is set off to the side so it doesn’t get in your way during crunches. Nice touches, really.
