Loving This Week: Amazing Hair Mask + A Chic New Crossbody
Monday, March 24, 2014
It’s been a rather eclectic shopping week: a couple of necessities, and a couple of wish list items, with a spring fashion find thrown in for good measure. Here’s a peek inside my online shopping cart this week…
1. Nicole Miller Artelier Geo-Floral Dress, $146.30 (was $330.00)
Florals are huge – yet again – this spring. So are art-inspired prints. This dress combines both, in a way that gives the slight edge to the artsy side rather than the girly-girl side. I like that in a floral print. Plus, the sale price makes this dress a great deal for anyone who, like me, is super wary of floral prints. I’m not sure I love the trend, but this dress somehow feels just right for right now.
2. Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch, $95.00
Here’s one for the wish list. I’ve been dying for a simple black envelope clutch. Not that I have any real reason to buy one. But, when I figure out a good reason, I’m coming back for this Leo clutch. It’s also available in 6 other colors – ranging from stark white, to grey, to sunny yellow. If you are on the hunt for a perfect little clutch, this might be what you are looking for.
3. NARS The NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette, $79.00
I really need some new eyeshadow. I hate to admit this, but my current palette stash is so old that my eyelid actually broke out last time I used it. That’s not ok. Although this NARS palette has received some seriously mixed reviews, my experiences with NARS shadows in the past has been nothing but stellar. I’m willing to take the risk. This will be mine by the end of the month.
4. Kerastase Masque Chroma Riche, $62.50
I just bought my third tub of this super luxe hair conditioning mask. My beyond fabulous longtime stylist – Jen Bradford at Edge Salon in Palo Alto – suggested this product when I asked for a weekly conditioner to treat my highlighted and keratin-treated hair. It’s been amazing for keeping my locks super soft and tangle-free. Plus, I love that it has UV protectors and antioxidants to help prevent premature color fading. Highly recommended.
5. Foley + Corinna Cache Crossbody Bag, 105.00 (was $195.00)
The time has come to start planning spring and summer getaways. That always leads to me trying to find the next best thing in compact, yet chic crossbody bags. I’m in a never ending hunt for a bag that will keep me organized, but won’t scream “tourist.” I think this find fits the bill with its two zip side pockets, middle card pocket, and interior zip coin pocket. I’m feeling more organized already.
