Loving This Week: The Art of Multi-Masking + Shoe Sale Finds
Monday, March 10, 2014
This week’s online shopping has resulted in a mixed bag of sale finds, plus a new beauty arrival that just looks like fun. Here’s a peek inside my online shopping cart this week…
1. Olivia Harris Top Zip Leather Satchel, $203.99 (was $495.00)
I haven’t added a new handbag to my wardrobe in a while, so I took a spin around the Saks online handbag clearance to see if there were any good deals to be had. It didn’t take long before I ran into this satchel, which is currently priced more than half off. The weathered leather looks rich and supple, while the pale gold hardware provides a nice contrast. I particularly like the combination of shoulder strap and handles, which is always a welcome addition, and the subtle burgundy detail around the zippers.
2. Report Signature Sophe Calf Hair Flat, $62.10 (was $85.00)
What’s not to love about leopard print calfhair on a d’orsay flat? Everything about this shoe is right on trend, but the price is low enough that you won’t feel bad ditching it in the donation pile if you fall out of love with the look mid-season.
3. Neiman Marcus Pebble Pencil Case, $12.96 (was $24.00)
I like using zip-top bags in my handbags to keep myself organized and make changing from one handbag to another an easier chore. My current silver metallic faux-snakeskin pouch is looking a little worse for wear, so I’m considering switching it out for this green pebbled faux-leather pouch. The color is gorgeous, as is the royal purple fabric lining. It will be perfect for toting around a few makeup bag essentials.
4. Sam Edelman Jordie Snakeskin Flat, $89.10 (was $130.00)
As much as I truly love high heels, I have taken to wearing flats to work on a day-to-day basis. This is mainly because I want to still be able to wear high heels when I’m 80, and in the past few years my body has been very clear with me that the best way to reach that milestone is to wear flats a lot more. So, I’m always looking for interesting, vaguely punk-rock flats to add to my shoe collection. These genuine snakeskin flats have a luxe-looking goldtone toe cap detail and low-cut vamp, which add to the un-precious vibe.
5. Boscia The Art of Multi-Masking Kit, $42.00
This brand new, limited-edition collection features four of Boscia’s much-loved peel-off masks plus a synthetic mask application brush. Not only is this an economical way to try all four of these best-selling face masks, it also offers new ways to mix-and-match the masks to customize the results via a “recipe” card of sorts. For example, using the Cool Blue Calming Mask on the forehead and cheeks, with the Green Tea Oil-Control Mask on the t-zone and chin, is “The Post Flight” mask combo. Fun, and money saving! Plus, Boscia masks really are rumored to be absolutely top notch.
