Loving This Week: Perfectly Distressed Jeans + DvF on Sale
Monday, May 05, 2014
A little off-season sale shopping and trip through the new arrivals section yielded some great fashion finds. Here’s a peek inside my online shopping cart this week…
1. J.Crew No-Show Socks Three Pack, $18.50
Warmer weather means that sweaty feet are coming soon to a shoe near you. These simple no-show socks from J.Crew will keep your toes comfy in your oh-so-trendy slip-on skater sneaks this season, without ruining your look with visible socks. All the comfort of wearing socks, but without the sad tourist look makes these sockless socks a must have. The three packs come in all white, all black, white/ grey/ black (shown here), and flamingo/ kiwi/ white.
2. Diane von Furstenberg Jori Cap Sleeve Sheath Dress, $119.99 (was $325.00)
A classic Diane von Furstenberg dress priced more than half off is always a smart purchase. This classic knee-length dress is covered up enough for work, but could easily be dressed up or down to be useful for a variety of situations. The classic silhouette will make this a wardrobe go-to for years to come, creating a price-per-wear calculation that practically makes this dress free… in the long run.
3. Saks Fifth Avenue Blue Label Cashmere Cardigan, $70.40 (was $398.00)
I can’t stress this enough: if you love super luxe fashion, but don’t have a super large bank account, shopping off season is the way to go. I just ran across this gorgeous cream colored Saks house label cardigan in rich cashmere. It’s priced a whopping 82% off retail. Come fall, this cardy will wear like the gorgeous $400 sweater it is. Total no-brainer.
4. Point Sur Slim Stacker Selvedge Jean in Frederick Wash, $288.00
I spotted these artfully distressed jeans on the cover of the latest J.Crew Style Guide. While J.Crew tends towards the preppy look, these Point Sur collab jeans would be just as at home with a minimalist downtown vibe. Much more my speed. I may wait for one of J.Crew’s frequent sales or coupon codes to actually buy, but these jeans are definitely on my to-do list.
5. Club Monaco Suni Belt, $60.00
A stand out belt can make an outfit, elevating basics to a more polished level. You could add this goldtone and black leather belt to everything from jumpsuits to dresses to floaty cardigans, to create a more sophisticated, anchored look.
