Loving This Week: Akris Punto on Sale + New Zara
Monday, June 30, 2014
The first of the new fall collection has landed at Zara, which made for some fun virtual shopping this week. Plus, I ran across some great deals on what is likely last fall’s merchandise (but is totally timeless and thus an amazing deal). Here’s a peek at what’s in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Rebecca Taylor Zebra-Print Pullover, $73.79 (was $325.00)
Zebra print feels like the cooler younger cousin of classic leopard print. It’s just as versatile and timeless, but just a tiny bit more unexpected. This linen blend pullover may have to wait until cooler days for primetime wear, but it’s definitely not one of those items where you have to worry about it going out of style before you can start working it into your wardrobe. At this price, it’s worth buying now and putting away until fall.
2. Zara Embossed Leather Slip-On Shoes, $99.90
These reptile-embossed leather slip on shoes with track soles are part of the new fall collection at Zara, which just landed this past week. The stark white-on-white look feels perfectly on-point for summer, so I don’t see any reason to not indulge in this fall find right now.
3. Zara Leather Biker Jacket, $279.00
This biker jacket is another new fall arrival at Zara and, like all of their outerwear, an outstanding deal. I particularly love the goldtone hardware, which looks very cool and modern compared with the silver hardware you usually find on biker jackets. Not much need for this jacket right now, but I’m willing to bet this find sells out before fall.
4. McQ Alexander McQueen Twill Zipper Trousers, $129.50 (was $480.00)
I think these McQ trousers are fun and funky in that way that will instantly make any blouse worthy of a night out. Seriously, all of those silk blouses you wear to work – just half tuck one into these trousers, add some heeled sandals, and you’re out the door. Pants like that are always a welcome addition to your wardrobe.
5. Akris Punto Tucked Waistband Dress, $229.99 (was $1,190.00)
Akris Punto is one of my work wardrobe wish list labels. Everything from this label is immaculately tailored, timeless, and luxe. It’s also all priced way beyond my normal clothing budget. So, I was super excited to find this beautiful dress marked way, way down at Saks Off 5th. Unfortunately, it’s available in pretty much every size except mine. Argh. Someone please grab this amazing deal for me.
