Loving This Week: Linen-Blend Sale Finds + a Cheeky Necklace
Monday, February 09, 2015
Without even trying, this week’s finds are all of the bargain-priced variety. And they’re all good options for the winter into spring transition. Here’s what’s happening in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Azalea Ives Duster Coat, $79.00
On the one hand, this coat is 100% polyester. On the other hand, it’s pretty fabulous looking and insanely inexpensive. It’s not going to last forever, but that’s ok. Altogether, it’s a smart option for spring.
2. In God We Trust I Woke Up Like This Necklace, $100.00
This sterling silver, hand-engraved heart necklace is just cheeky enough to be fun, but not so obnoxious as to only be appropriate for a teenager.
3. Rag & Bone Denise Striped Sweater, $57.59 (was $255.00)
At first glance this sweater looks like it might be washed-out pastel stripes. Not great photography. Closer inspection reveals that it’s really a single color off-white linen-blend sweater with selective sheer stripes that create a kind of ombre effect, which is much more interesting. And the sale price is excellent.
4. Halston Heritage Notched Collar Linen-Blend Jacket, $138.74 (was $495.00)
Another sale-priced linen-blend find, just in time for spring. This open-front jacket will make a smart layering piece clear through fall. Picture it with a tee and jeans, or anchoring a floaty dress.
5. Vero Moda Grey Fay Oversize Cardigan, $58.14
Similar to the Duster Coat, this is a piece that is not constructed to stand the test of time, but will look fabulous for a season or two. I think the trick will be avoiding laundering the acrylic/ alpaca/ elastane blend for as long as possible. I love it styled with wide-leg pants, like in this photo, but it would look just as great with denim.
