I was in the mood for a little sale shopping this week, so I hit up two of my favorite bargain shopping destinations: the Nordstrom sale section and the Neiman Marcus online outlet. There is actually a lot of stuff on sale right now, which is kind of shocking since next weekend is a big sale weekend.
Check out the sale finds taking up space in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Trina Turk Zoey Single Breasted Topper, $279.90 (was $425.00)
Around here, summer nights are chilly enough to require a coat, and this new sale find is the ideal weight for keeping away the summer chills. This basic cotton coat comes in both black and sand, a pale beige that’s about the color of a standard trench coat. It’s the kind of coat that will wear well for years. The only real decision is figuring out which color to buy.
2. Current/Elliott The Buddy Twill Trousers, $129.90 (was $218.00)
I haven’t tried out spring’s utilitarian trend yet, but these trousers seem like a great opportunity. The clean lines and simple purple ribbon accent make these pants a bit more wearable than the hardcore safari-wear and uniform-style pieces that were paraded down the runways.
3. Elliott Lucca Rani Woven Leather Slip On Sandals, $55.30 (was $99.00)
What caught my eye about these shoes was how they seem to cleanly fuse two totally different summer shoe trends: slip-on skater sneakers and huarache sandals. It’s a weird combo, but it works.
4. Alice + Olivia Hilary Gold Stamped d’Orsay Flat, $132.30 (was $240.00)
This pretty gold flat is nearly sold out, but I still couldn’t resist featuring it. The metallic detail makes the closed-toed flat feel as light as a bare summer sandal.
5. Eileen Fisher Washed Linen Tunic, $142.80 (was $238.00)
I’m a new fan of Eileen Fisher. I think the brand is completely underrated. They make really gorgeous, high-quality minimalist pieces. Like this sale find tunic, which would look amazing with skinny white jeans and gold accessories. Or, it could be dressed-down with slouchy denim shorts.
