This week’s online shopping picks are a mix of daily basics that are smart buys year-round, plus a couple early pre-fall finds. Just when I’m getting used to summer, the fall items start rolling in and I’m suddenly craving fall weather. Go figure.
Here’s what’s lurking in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Theory Koldeen Knit Dress, $345.00
This rich wine red shade seems to be one of the It colors for the season, and I don’t mind one bit. This color is dark enough to feel as sleek and classic as black, but well suited to sunny days.
2. Vince Asymmetric Leather Jacket, $995.00
Summer is barely in full swing and already the pre-fall goodies are flooding the stores. This buttery beige leather jacket is one of the first pieces to turn my head. It feels at once edgy and classic, with a shape that could pull an outfit together just as well as a blazer.
3. Need Supply Mercer Tote, $58.00
This basic black tote has all of the requirements for a great commuting bag: large size, multiple handle options, and a price that won’t make you sad when you inevitably spill your morning Starbucks on it. The chic minimalist look is the icing on the cake.
4. The Horse Classic Silver & Black Watch, $189.00
With all of the electronics we carry around on a daily basis, a simple watch feels like a bit of a splurge. Sure, it’s not a necessity, but it is awfully pretty.
5. Madewell Slub V-Neck Pocket Tee, $17.99 - $25.00
I recently featured this bargain-priced tee, available in 24 colors, in a post on Madewell summer basics. Now that I’ve bought a half dozen of them and worn them all, I feel the need to reemphasize this pick. It’s a perfectly slouchy, just barely translucent tee at a super affordable price. I will be buying more.
