Loving This Week: Go-To Summer Sandals + Travel Beauty Buys
Monday, June 01, 2015
This week’s finds are, naturally, geared to surviving the summer in style. From a blank-slate dress that can go from work to weekend, to Sephora’s latest home run Favorites kit, these picks are all smart and versatile.
Check out all of the goodies in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Felicity & Coco Seamed Pencil Dress, $98.00
This new strechy pencil dress is simple, flattering, and perfectly work-appropriate. It’s also available in eight gorgeous colors, in regular sizes up to 14 and petites up to 12, for less than $100. Kind of a no-brainer.
2. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Perfector SPF 30, $38.00
I haven’t used this new product yet, but the promise of it has me intrigued. It is designed to be layered on top of eye cream to provide mineral-based SPF coverage, plus a dose of vitamin c + licorice root to help diminish circles. Given the high quality of Kiehl’s products, I think it’s worth a try.
3. Rag & Bone Drift Tunic, $295.00
This oversized terry pullover is from Rag & Bone’s most recent release of summer items. I think it looks relaxed and cozy, but still quite polished. I like with the light khaki shorts as show here – I wouldn’t have thought of that combo myself, but it works.
4. Report Signature Neely Ankle Strap Sandal, $69.95
These crazy-affordable leather sandals are destined to be summer’s go-to shoe. The pale beige color will be a leg lengthening nude for many skin tones, and the spare design (clearly inspired by Stuart Weitzman’s best-selling Nudist sandal) will complement just about any ensemble. Plus, that midi heel looks mighty comfortable.
5. Sephora Favorites Beauty on the Fly Travel Bag, $42.00 ($158 value)
This new Sephora Favorites kit is an amazing buy, and really will be ideal for summer travel. Included is everything you need to care for your face, body, and hair while away from home. And every product is a winner in my book: Living Proof haircare, Kate Somerville face exfoliator, Algenist cleanser, Origins eye cream, and more!
