Loving This Week: French Mary Janes + a British Cross-Body
Monday, February 15, 2016
I’m not sure this has ever happened before. Completely by coincidence, I think all five of this week’s top shopping picks might actually look fab as an outfit. What do you think? Regardless of whether they look good together, each piece would be a smart addition to a winter-to-spring transitional wardrobe.
Get the details on my top shopping picks of the week…
1. Grace Gordon Lucy Leather Cross-Body Handbag, £245.00 (~$353.80)
This week I discovered the absolutely fabulous British handbag company Grace Gordon. I’m so in love with their minimalist leather handbags that I might end up doing an entire post about the brand. In the meantime, this cross-body is my instant must-buy. Don’t worry, they ship internationally.
2. Vince Side-Zip Turtleneck, $365.00
The side zip and ribbed-hem detail add visual interest to this cozy wool/ cashmere blend knit. I think this pic from the Vince website shows off the details best, but I’m linking to Nordstrom here since they still have all sizes of this heather cloud color in stock. It’s selling out quickly everywhere else.
3. A.P.C. Jasmine Mary Janes, $435.00
These block-heel Mary Jane shoes from French label A.P.C. feel like the ideal shoe for transitioning into spring. The on-trend heel is substantial enough to anchor chunky knits, while the strap silhouette feels playful enough to pair with skirts and dresses in warmer weather.
4. Lulu Frost Plaza Letter Necklace, $325.00
Definitely click through to see this bronze cast necklace on a model. It has an oversized look that is both funky and classic. I think a lot of that “classic” vibe comes from the use of the original font from NYC’s iconic Plaza Hotel. It will look amazing layered over higher necklines.
5. Theory Soft Twill Boy Trouser, $285.00
Like most women, I eagerly await each new season’s take on the must-have black pant. This new cropped, straight-leg twill trouser is my early favorite for spring.
