Loving This Week: Sweater Dressing + Colorful Bobby Pins
Monday, February 22, 2016
The mild weather here in the Bay Area definitely influenced my online shopping picks this week. Pale neutrals and rosy lip gloss feel just right for what I am hoping is a faux spring. We really could use some more rain.
Not so sunny in your area? Imagine the first warm days of the year as you browse this week’s picks. Here are all of the items turning my head this week…
1. Steven Alan Crossover Shirt, $178.00
This new arrival from the Steven Alan spring collection is made from a breezy cotton/ tencel blend fabric that is just the right weight for the warmer days ahead. The versatile silhouette can styled buttoned down the center or crossed over, as shown here.
2. Odeme Bobbing Pins, $8.00
These colored bobby pins, which come in three different three-color combination packs, are super pretty. There’s really no reason to go back to basic black bobbies once you have these.
3. Pansy Bra, $48.00, and High Rise, $42.00
I’m a huge fan of the minimalist lingerie trend. Brands like Baserange and The Nude Label broke with lacy lingerie traditions to develop the genre, and now new labels are popping up all over the place. This powder blue set is from one of my new favorites, Pansy. Their soft stretch organic cotton is colored with toxin-free dye and all of their items are made in the USA.
4. Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer, $22.00
The beauty editor favorite nail polish line Smith & Cult has expanded into lip glosses, and the results are gorgeous, vegan, and gluten- and paraben-free. This peachy-pink shade called Fade The Sun is calling my name.
5. James Perse Ribbed Stretch Cotton Dress, $245.00
I completely missed the winter sweater dress trend. Bummer. But, this new ribbed cotton midi dress captures the same carefree luxe vibe in a warm weather appropriate cut. Perfect.
