Loving This Week: Gia Coppola for Everlane + Pretty Grey Flats
Monday, July 11, 2016
As the summer heats up, dressing well gets harder and harder. What to do when what you really want to wear is cutoffs, flip-flops, and the tiniest tank you can find? This week I found some smart options, including a pale grey alternative to your standard black flats and an office-appropriate shirt that feels breezy and crisp at the same time.
Here are all of the new finds turning my head this week…
1. NSCO Denim Skirt, $258.00
This update on the classic denim skirt from Japanese label NSCO gets extra polish from the tie belt and dark indigo detail at the hem.
2. Rag & Bone Ryder Pocket Shirt, $325.00
The combination of pajama styling and crisp cotton dress shirt construction makes for a stand out look. I particularly like how this shirt vibes sophisticated enough for the office, but still has a breezy summer feel.
3. Tarte Limited Edition Young, Wild, & Free Amazonian Clay Palette, $28.00
This new eyeshadow palette showed up in my email inbox this week and I instantly fell in love with it. The colors are pretty, fresh, and warm weather appropriate. Plus, they all look super wearable. There’s really not a dud in the bunch.
4. Everlane The Gia Tee, $35.00
When I heard that Gia Coppola was doing a capsule collection with luxe-ethical clothing label Everlane, I had high hopes. Gia, like the entire Coppola clan, exudes a special kind of laid-back chic. I was a little disappointed to see that the entire collection is done in stripes. Not my particular cup of tea. But this vintage-look tee is a stand-out. It’s available in yellow, navy, and this orange-y red.
5. Jeffrey Campbell Vionnet Flats, $100.00
When the temperature rises, closet-staple black flats start to feel increasingly out of place. These pale grey leather point-toe loafers have the same wear everywhere appeal of a black flat, but in a pretty shade of grey that can lighten up a summer look.
