Loving This Week: Fall’s Best Clogs + a New Byredo Scent
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I really want a pair of clogs for fall. I’ve been sucked into the gravitational pull of No. 6’s truly outstanding clogs. Now I can’t imagine a perfect fall wardrobe without them.
In other shopping news, Byredo has a new fragrance which is sure to be just as amazing as their other offerings. Bonus points for drawing inspiration from the ‘60s counter-cultural movement. Check out all of my favorite shopping finds for the week…
1. Industry Standard The Sylvie Tee, $45.00
Who isn’t perpetually on the hunt for the world’s most perfect tee shirt? This 100% organic cotton option is made in Los Angeles and features a slim, but not tight, silhouette. It’s been getting loads of good press. Definitely worth a try.
2. No. 6 Caitlin T Strap Clog on Platform, $310.00
I want to wear these classic platform clogs with chunky heather grey cable-knit socks and cropped straight jeans all fall long. I know, it’s a very particular sartorial fantasy. But, outstanding shoes deserve a well thought out plan.
3. SeeVees for J.Crew Legend Sneakers in Velvet, $88.00
I’ve been seeing velvet sneakers all over the new fall arrivals, but these are the first I’ve seen in this shade of deep burgundy. They are gorgeous, and practically a neutral when paired with fall’s greys and browns.
4. Byredo Velvet Haze Eau de Parfum, $150.00
This new scent from Byredo is inspired by the counter-cultural movement of the 1960s. I’m probably biased by my San Francisco location, but I find that intriguing. It is gender-neutral and features notes of amberette, coconut water, patchouli, cocoa absolu, and wild musk.
5. Banana Republic Fluted Pleat-Sleeve Sweater Top, $88.00
The heavily pleated, yet oddly sleek, sleeves on this sweater give it an old-school look. Like seriously old-school. 1500s perhaps?
