Loving This Week: Waffle Knits + Vegan Whitening Toothpaste
Tuesday, October 31, 2017
This week’s favorites include two beauty products that are both affordable and standouts in their respective categories. First, I’m a little late to the party, but I’m here to say that Glossier Boy Brow fully lives up to the hype. Buy it. Seriously. Elsewhere in the medicine cabinet, I ran across a vegan whitening toothpaste that does hard work while being free of all sorts of icky questionable ingredients.
Check out all of my favorite shopping picks for the week…
1. Madewell Wafflestitch Sweater Coat, $150.00
This cozy knit will work as a coat in mild climates, and a layering piece in colder climates.
2. Everlane Silk Long Sleeve Blouse, $88.00
Slow fashion label Everlane is known for crafting luxe pieces both ethically and efficiently, resulting in affordable prices you can feel good about. This work-perfect 100% silk blouse is just the latest in a long line of Everlane favorites. It’s also available in basic black and stone, a sleek off-white.
3. Glossier Boy Brow, $16.00
I heard the Glossier Boy Brow hype, but I didn’t quite believe it. I couldn’t imagine it was all that different from my Benefit Gimme Brow. After all, they have similar brushes and both aim to thicken brows with fibers and cream-wax consistency. I was so, so wrong. Boy Brow is a wonder. It’s like a push-up bra for your lashes.
4. Botkier Chelsea Faux Shearling Lined Boot, $197.95
You might think that the faux shearling is the stand-out element of this new fall boot, but I’m of a different opinion. I’ve been searching for a pair of crepe rubber sole boots everywhere. It’s such a cool menswear element to find on a women’s boot.
5. Hello Extra Whitening Pure Mint Toothpaste, $4.49
Word is on the street that this is pretty much the best whitening toothpaste around. And by “street” I mean a blog that I totally forgot, so I can’t give it proper credit. Oops. But, I’m so thankful. This near-perfect paste offers whitening and fluoride, but without the artificial colors, triclosan, parabens, and gluten found in other pastes. Plus, it’s vegan, and not tested on animals.
